God’s perfect timing.

“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” || Ecclesiastes 3:1

Life is tough. When we face trials, seasons of waiting, and battles in life it is hard to always trust and know that God has the perfect plan for us. Life’s challenging obstacles can cause us to feel overwhelmed, stressed, confused, or maybe even angry at times. These difficult circumstances can leave us feeling heartbroken and lost, but we have hope in the truth that God works everything out for His good, and that everything we go through is apart of His perfect plan.

Looking back at last year, I was broken. I was experiencing so many emotions, and felt so alone. I kept asking God the question “why” and was so confused on why I was experiencing so much heartache and pain. Throughout my walk with Christ, especially this past year, I have seen God take my broken pieces and make them beautiful. I have felt God’s presence in my life more than ever, and have experienced His goodness and faithfulness in big ways. God has taught me so much throughout my life about His perfect timing, and I pray this can encourage you and make you feel a little less alone!

God’s timing isn’t just great, it is perfect.

GOD KNOWS WHAT YOU WILL/HAVE FACED. Something that has been super comforting to me lately, is that God knows everything we will or have encountered in life. The battle you may be facing, have faced in the past, or may face in the future may come as a surprise to you, but God knew that you would face it before you were even born, and He has already made a way out. Remember that even through the heartbreak and setbacks you may encounter in life, that God has a purpose for you.

“By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.” || 1 John 3:19-20

No one will truly understand what we are going through. We often look to people or things of this world to find comfort or find the answer, but it never truly fulfills us. I struggled a lot with not running to God and laying everything at His feet, because I felt unworthy of His love and mercy. But we have to remember that God is bigger than our feelings, and He knows us more than we know ourselves. Isn’t that incredible? That God, our Heavenly, all-knowing Father, truly knows us.

I want this to be an encouragement to you, that no matter what you may be facing right now… wether that be graduating high school, searching for a job, starting a family, or maybe you’re stuck in a deep hole like I was. That it will get better, and God has made a way out. In His perfect timing He will provide for you, and He is fighting your battles with you.

GOD FITS ALL THE PUZZLE PIECES TOGETHER. Whoa. This statement always gets me. I find it so amazing that God fits everything into place, and that everything works out in His timing.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” || Romans 8:28

When I look back at my life my freshman year, which was 2 years ago, I was so different. Yes, I was still a christian, but I was not living life for God in everything I did and truly strive to be intentional in my walk with Christ. I look back at how all the trials and situations I have faced in life have played out in God’s perfect plan, and have made me the person I am today. And this is all because of God’s goodness and faithfulness.

For example: When I was facing all my health issues in 2019, I was filled with so much fear and anxiety of what was going on with my body. I kept asking God the question “why” and was so scared of what was to come. But during this time of waiting and unknown, is when I truly started to strengthen my relationship with our Heavenly Father. If it wasn’t for going through this trial and experiencing so much fear and doubt, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

GOD’S TIMING IS NOT OUR TIMING. I feel like often times we expect our plans and our timing to line up with God’s, when in reality it doesn’t work that way. We all have so many hopes and expectations of how we want our life to look, but when we try to live up to our dreams instead of trusting God’s plan, we will never be fulfilled.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord , plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” || Jeremiah 29:11

When you stop expecting life to work out in the way you wanted and all your plans to go the “right way”, and start looking to God in all situations. This is when you will see your life truly transform and start to see God work in mighty ways through and in you.

I pray this is an encouragement to you today, that no matter what trial or storm you may be facing right now, that it will get better and in His perfect timing God will provide for you.

No matter what you are going through, let this be a reminder to you that God will come through in His perfect timing. If you are reading this right now, then that means you are living. And if you are living that means that God still has a purpose for you!
