“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” {1 Timothy 4:12}

We are all called to be leaders and Christ-like examples to those around us, but sometimes it is hard to know how to lead others. I have struggled a lot in the past with not knowing how to lead properly, or not following what God was truly wanting me to lead for. But, recently God has placed a lot on my heart, and I have found scripture to look to for leadership.
You have the ability to go out and lead right where you are, and God wants to use you. I pray this post can encourage you to go be a leader and point others around you to Christ!
Everyone has faith.
Everyone has faith. Everyone has the ability to lead. God wants to use you and He has big plans in store for you, but are you listening and trusting Him?
Our faith is only as good as that which we put our faith in. The object of our faith is what matters. The Christian leader we all strive to be has to have faith to lead effectively and made an impact on others.
You may put your faith in treasures, but those things can be taken away from us. The one constant thing in life that can never be taken away from us is our faith in God. Luke 7:8-10 says “For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me: and I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith. And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well.”
This verse gives us a perfect example when the Jews pleaded with Jesus to heal the centurion’s servant because of all the good works the centurion had done for the community. However, what makes the centurion’s faith remarkable is he did not put his faith in his works, but in Jesus’ authority to heal.
No matter how big the situation seems that we are faced with, we can turn it into something amazing and find the good in it. God will heal us. Your faith holds a big position in a leadership position. Where will you put that faith?
Love others unconditional.
God is love. God didn’t just love certain people, He loved everyone. Loving others is a key part to leadership, and plays a big role in how you lead others.
Any christian leader should be encouraged and fueled by the love of God, and others will see that and be encouraged as well. We are always an influence on others, and we are always being watched.
Ephesians 4:32 says “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” The Bible tells us that as believers we are called to love others. We are called to show kindness to everyone, even when they have wronged you so bad or don’t deserve it… love them anyway!
Kindness and love is what our world needs. Everyone has the opportunity to show love to others. You can truly make such a difference and huge impact in someones life if you show the same kindness and love that God calls us to.
Prayer is powerful.
Christian leaders use prayer! Jesus showed us may times that to be a great leader, you must be a great follower. Taking time to escape and pray can be so impactful and can make a huge difference in your leadership skills.
I have been through personal experiences where it has been so hard to trust the path God is leading me down. Our world is so hard to live in and their are so many situations that we go through that can cause us to have some fear. It can be hard to turn away from temptations, friendships, etc.. but if God is leading you there: Go with Him! Prayer is such a powerful thing, and through these situations talking with God can help you overcome the darkness.
I feel like a lot of people ask the question: “Why do we pray?” The simple answer is, because Jesus told us to. Jesus himself was always praying. If Jesus felt the need to pray, then shouldn’t we too? We are commanded to pray, so we should pray. Going through some of the most darkest times in my life, it was so hard for me to pray and trust Him.
I started this challenge with one of my close friends to text her every night and ask her if she had any prayer requests. We have been doing this for a couple months now, and it has been a great way to show leadership to each other and be a bold encouragement to one another.
Pray for one another. Pray for your closest friend. Pray for people you don’t know. Pray for the world. Pray for the ones that don’t know Christ. The most important thing is that we just pray!!
You have a mission field.
I know this seems simple, but God has placed you right where you are for an exact reason.
You can be a leader right where you are. At work, at home, at school, or even simply just smiling at someone you don’t know. You don’t have to lead in a big way, just lead in some way.
You have a mission field, and God wants to use you. I encourage you if you feel lead, to start a bible study group or an accountability group in your community. Accountability is a very great way to start leading in such a small way!

You have an opportunity right now to lead! I pray this post has been an encouragement to you, that no matter what your circumstances are… you can be a leader!
God has placed you right where you are, and He has amazing plans for you. Trust and follow His guidance.
It’s time, right now to lead!! Go be a Godly leader!
Thank you for reading! Lots of love, Carsyn!
