“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.” {Proverbs 3:5-8}

Through the journey of following Jesus, you will experience times of doubt. Doubts come when things come that we don’t quite understand, and it is so hard to trust God through those situations.
It can be so hard to face fear and doubts, but God is so much bigger than your circumstances and wants you to give it all over to Him.
Here is some of my thoughts on facing doubts through your walk with Christ. I hope this is an encouragement to you that no matter what your circumstances are, God is bigger and He is there for you forever and always.
Whatever you are going through or struggling with is part of God’s plan.
I have struggled HARD with this in the past, and I want this to be an encouragement to you to never give up and to keep pushing on. 2019 was definitely the worst year for me, and I struggled hard. With all I went through it was SO hard staying faithful. and trusting God.
What we have to remember when we are struggling, is that no matter how tough our circumstances seem it is going to get better and God is always in control. God’s plans are so much bigger and greater than ours, and we need to trust His plan.
Something that helped me a lot when I was struggling was talking to God through prayer. Praying and asking God for guidance and peace can give you so much comfort, and lets Him know you are trusting Him and you are listening to Him.
No matter how big your situations seem, don’t get discouraged… God has you, and He has an amazing plan and purpose for your life!
You are never alone.
I think many of us are afraid to express and be open about our doubts, because we are afraid of being judged by others, But the truth is we are never alone, and we should never be afraid to tell others about our doubts we are struggling with.
We have doubts like everyone else. We need to be completely real, and share about your struggles. Sharing what you are going through, even when you feel scared is very important and can even help the person you are sharing with.
Joshua 1:9 says “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” This verse shows us that God is with us no matter what, and we should never be afraid. This gives me so much comfort and peace, while facing tough situations in life.
Spend time in God’s presence.
When we are experiencing times of doubt and fear, we need to enter God’s word and put our faith into practice. If you start doubting God’s love, promises, or faithfulness read His truth.
You may be walking in fear and feel lost and broken right now, but nothing will keep Jesus away, not even your fear.
What do you need to give over to Jesus and how can you give everything over to Him?
He has called us out of the darkness.
God has chosen and called us out of the darkness into light. 1 Peter 2:9 says “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
It can be so easy to feel anxious and fearful because of the unknown, but trusting God and His plans for you will increase and grow your faith. God tells us to not worry about tomorrow. He knows what tomorrow holds, but we don’t. So we have no reason to fear.
No matter what you are facing God is bigger. He wants you to give everything you are struggling with over to Him, no matter how big or small. He is a good good Father, and wants to help guide us always. He will never leave you!

I pray this is an encouragement to apply Gods truth to your life and put your full faith and rust in Him. He is so much bigger than anything you are facing, and He can handle anything you give Him. Nothing is ever to big for God to handle.
If you are wandering around lost and fearful of the path God is leading you down, God wants to speak to you… but are you listening to Him?
God tells us to cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. God is light. God is love. God is peace. God is our Father!
