“In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” {Ephesians 3:12}
We are all uniquely created, so why do we compare ourselves to others? It is very simple, our identity is the core of who you are and who God created you to be. We aren’t supposed to be like others, and we never will be. God created us all unique in every way. God knew exactly what He was doing when He created us. God took time to create every perfect detail for the exact purpose He planned for us. We are who we are because that’s how God wanted us to be. We often compare ourselves to others to change things about us that we do not have, but in reality the things we want to change were picked by the creator of the heavens and the earth. Isn’t it amazing to think that our heavenly almighty God picked you and created you just the way you are.
Genesis 1:27 says “So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” Each and everyone of us is created so unique and special. We need to stop worrying so much on what other people think and focus on the one who created us.
When we look at God’s beauty in nature we don’t critique it, we just except it and the beauty of it. We don’t complain about how nature looks. So why do we complain about ourselves? God thought about and planned out every perfect detail with care. Everyone compares themselves, but a masterpiece of God can’t be duplicated. You are one of a kind and you are unique. We have to quit comparing. Quit believing the lies of the enemy and know that you are His and He calls you beautiful.
When God created us He created our identity to be constant and unchanging. He made us the way we are so we could walk in confidence knowing that even when we sin or mess up, we are forever loved and forever His. No one and nothing can take away Gods beauty in you. No matter what you are struggling with or going through get ready to be changed. The journey of finding your identity and beauty in Christ will leave you changed forever.
Labels are used often to define people and things. The problem is when we allow world labels to define who we are. Negative labels can strip us from our power and just leave us with sadness or fear. Ultimately, it alters the way we view ourselves and effects what we think about ourselves. Even positive labels can strip us from our Godly-power. We might began being too confident and thinking we don’t need God. Learning to recognize and deal with labels is an important key in your relationship with Christ. The world doesn’t define us, God does. His truth is the only permanent label in our life’s.
As long as our false identity is active it will continue to grow bigger. It eventually leaves us seeing Satan’s lies. These lies then become guilt, bitterness, or fear. But God has a way out, a way paved with truth. The only weapon that we have that will defeat Satan’s lies is God’s truth. We have to study, understand, and believe God’s truth and apply it to our lives. Truth is an anchor that will keep you changed. We know the truth and we can grow through Him. Grab God, and never let go. He will change the way you think and the way you live.
1 John 3:1-2 says “See what great life the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are. the reason the world doesn’t know us is that it did not know Him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what will be has not yet been known. But we know when Christ appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall she Him as He is. All who have this hope in Him purify themselves, just as He is pure.” Living changed means your identity is fully in Christ. You know how to identify and fight the lies of the enemy. You forget what lies behind and move forward with passion and freedom. And you step in and defend your loved ones. Believing and walking in Gods truth is the only way we can live life changed. Finding your identity in Christ is so important and it will change you completely. God wants the absolute best for you and always has a plan. You are beautiful and God loves you. Step out of your comfort zone, find your identity, and know He has got you and you are safe.
