“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with your righteous right hand.” { Isaiah 41:10 }
It’s hard to go through hard troubles, to get pushed around, to be tempted, to be discouraged.. It is all really hard. But, we have to take a step back and realize God has this.
Sometimes we get stuck in certain situations that we don’t want to be in or we don’t feel comfortable in. From that situation we learn so many different things. We learn about trusting the process. Trusting the process is a great start to thinking about a situation differently and how different situations can effect you. Every decision you make can have a positive or negative effect on you. Someday you will look back and understand why it happened the way it did. { Philippians 1:6 } says “Have patience, God isn’t finished yet.” God is never finished. He always has a plan and always has a way out.
Always remember things get harder before they get easier. Not everything is going to be perfect and have a good outcome. You are going to go through struggles but, you are not alone. Everyone goes through struggles. When you are in a bad situation stop, think about it, and pray. {Ephesians 4:22-24} says “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self ; to be made new in the attitude of your mind.” This shows us that we are made new and we can always start over new every day and have a better attitude.
It’s not wrong to be tempted or going through a situation, all of us are tempted in our lives. Even Jesus was tempted. It does become a problem when we start doing things that we know aren’t right. Temptation can look good at first, but it reality it can’t deliver what we think it can. When we give into temptation we become in a bad place. Temptation will lead you to do wrong whether it be lying, cheating, or something you know isn’t right. We learn to recognize when we are being tempted and give it over to God to strengthen us to overcome.
When we are going through a rough time we shouldn’t just pretend to have it all together on the outside. That’s being fake and we need to look to God to see what areas we need to clean up in our lives. When we start to live our life’s in purity then we start to act the way God intended us to act.
When we give into temptation and are tempted we give up the important for the temptations we face. Many of us are like that, when you face temptation you want it then and you don’t want to wait. We have to learn to wait on God. God wants us to wait on things. He wants us to wait, because he has a better plan for our life’s. Waiting teaching us to trust in God and depend on him. {Psalms 27:14} says “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” This shows us that whatever we are going through we can wait on God and trust him. He is always there no matter what. So, what areas of your life do you need to do better at waiting?
What we chose and decide even in the small moments shapes who we are and who we are becoming. There will be small temptation and there will be big temptation, but we still have to trust God through it all and know he has it under control. Every choice we make matters and it shapes who we are. Go out and live like Jesus and be who God wants you to be! God has amazing plans for your life, you just have to trust him and follow him through it all.
Instead of getting drawn into temptation and listening to the Devil, we need to start looking to God in all of these situations. It’s easier said then done, but next time you go through facing a trial or temptation look to God and pray. Ask God what to do next and what your next step is. God has a plan for you and he wants the best for you. Don’t let Satan keep you from what God is calling you to do and who God is calling you to be. Look to God and let God help you through your trials and temptations.
Dealing with temptation is hard, and whatever you are facing can get really tough. There is always a way out, always remember look to God and he always has a plan and a way out. While temptation can be bad for you it can also negatively affect other people. Start looking to God when you face temptation. He will strengthen you and give you a way out. God is good & Jesus loves you!
